Meet your trainer: Rachel Hatfield

As an early LinkedIn enthusiast back in 2003, I recognised its potential for revolutionising lead generation. During the telesales era, I often felt the frustration of cold calling, and LinkedIn emerged as a promising solution. Surprisingly, a more senior colleague at the time doubted LinkedIn's future, but by 2008, during the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), it proved its worth beyond lead generation, becoming a vital tool for recruitment.

Hi there, I'm Rachel Hatfield. My career spans sales and marketing in the hotel and events sector, working with global hotel companies like Accor, IHG, and Marriott. LinkedIn has been instrumental in expanding my network and fostering relationships. Prior to establishing SHOO, it played a pivotal role in my career advancement, both in the UK and Australia.

I've discovered that digital platforms excel in enhancing personal branding and supporting business development. This knowledge has contributed to my success in running a thriving business for over nine years. Additionally, I've had the privilege of serving as a guest lecturer at Leeds Beckett University and the University of Bradford.
